There a few contraindications that will, unfortunately, mean that client cannot book in for a massage. This includes fever, contagious diseases and skin infections, as well as if the client has recently had an operation. There are other instances where the massage can go ahead but will have to be avoided, such as if the client has a cut, bruise or undiagnosed pain. The treatment will also have to be altered if the client is pregnant.
